What is a part time bridal?

Part time bridal jobs typically refer to roles within bridal boutiques or wedding dress shops that are not full-time positions. These jobs can include tasks such as assisting brides with trying on gowns, providing customer service, scheduling appointments, and helping maintain the store's appearance. Part time bridal consultants may also provide style advice and assist with fittings. The hours are often flexible, making these positions ideal for students or those seeking supplemental income. Experience in retail or customer service is often preferred but not always required.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time bridal consultant?

To thrive as a Part Time Bridal Consultant, you need strong customer service skills, an eye for fashion, and knowledge of bridal trends, often supported by retail experience or a background in fashion. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, appointment scheduling software, and inventory management tools is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, patience, and attention to detail help consultants build trust and create a memorable shopping experience for brides. These skills ensure clients feel supported and satisfied, driving sales and positive referrals in a competitive bridal market.

What are some common challenges faced by part-time bridal consultants, and how can they be managed?

Part-time bridal consultants often face challenges such as managing fluctuating work schedules, staying updated with changing bridal trends, and ensuring personalized attention for each client within limited hours. Building strong relationships with colleagues also ensures seamless handovers and consistent client experiences.

Blowout Stylist

Salt Lake City, UT • On-site

Part-time

Posted 20 days ago

Job description

h2blow — Blowdry + Beauty Bar | Salt Lake City + Park City

If you love the sound of a round brush and the moment a client turns toward the mirror and stands a little taller — keep reading.

Who We Are

h2blow is a blowdry + beauty bar with two locations: Foothill Village in Salt Lake City and Redstone Center in Kimball Junction, Park City. No color. No cuts. Just wash, blow, and go — plus brows, makeup, smoothing treatments, and a retail wall stocked with R+Co, R+Co Bleu, and Oribe.

We built this place to be bright, calm, and genuinely fun to work in. Great music, great products, and a team that actually likes each other.

The Role

You'll be behind the chair doing what you're best at: shampoo, treatment, blowout, finish. Every guest, every time, at a standard you'd be proud to put your name on.

A day with us looks like:

  • Greeting your guest, reading what they actually want, and building the look with them
  • Delivering a signature shampoo experience — this is the part people remember
  • Blowing out and styling to our menu, from smooth and sleek to big and bouncy
  • Recommending the treatment or product that genuinely fits their hair (never a hard sell — just honest advice)
  • Booking your guest's next visit before they walk out
  • Keeping your station, tools, and the shared space guest-ready
  • Backing up your teammates on a busy Saturday without being asked

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Current Utah cosmetology or barbering license — or Utah's hair permit, which also qualifies you for this role. Don't have one yet? Once you schedule your test and have your permit, h2blow will pay for your test.
  • Genuine skill with a blowdryer and round brush, or the drive to get there fast
  • Showing up on time, every time, is the whole job

You'll thrive here if you

  • Light up when someone else feels good about themselves
  • Communicate warmly and read a room
  • Work clean, work fast, and don't cut corners on either
  • Want to keep learning — we train, and we expect you to grow

Nice to have

  • Brow shaping, lash, or makeup application experience
  • Bridal and on-location styling experience
  • Familiarity with Zenoti or similar booking software

What We Offer

  • Pay: [hourly base] plus commission and 100% of your tips
  • Retail and treatment commission on top
  • Steady, pre-booked clientele — we market so you don't have to build from zero
  • Paid education and hands-on training on our blowout method
  • Professional product discount
  • Bridal and event work available for stylists who want it
  • A schedule built around real life, with a team that covers each other

Schedule & Locations

[Full-time / part-time]. Stylists either float between both locations or are set at one, depending on our needs.

Salt Lake City — Foothill Village, 1400 S Foothill Blvd, Suite 120, Salt Lake City, UT 84108

Park City — Redstone Center, 1678 W Redstone Center Dr, Park City, UT 84098

Ready?

Send your resume, your license status, and a few photos of your work to hello@h2blowdrybar.com. Tell us one thing about why you love this work — we read every note.

You look good. Come help other people feel that way too.

h2blow is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and hire on talent, character, and reliability.
