About the Role
Dedicated School Staffing is seeking dependable and hardworking Substitute School Cleaners/Custodians to support school facilities teams when regular staff are absent. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Substitute custodians assist with daily cleaning tasks, light maintenance, and building upkeep across classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned spaces
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners
  • Assist with cafeteria cleanup, including wiping tables and maintaining floors
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing bulbs or restocking supplies
  • Set up or break down rooms for events or activities as needed
  • Ensure safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damages to supervisors
  • Follow district cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and schedules
  • Work collaboratively with custodial staff and school personnel

Required Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Clean criminal background checks
