Are you an experienced Emergency Veterinarian looking for a modern facility, professional autonomy, and the chance to help build something exciting from the ground up? Our emergency hospital, established in October 2024, is seeking a confident, independent Emergency Veterinarian to join our growing team. Located just 45 minutes north of Nashville, we serve as the primary emergency referral center for multiple surrounding clinics and are on a mission to become a full 24/7 ER & Specialty hospital in the near future.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ER-trained veterinarian who enjoys complex and rewarding cases and wants to practice high-quality medicine without corporate red tape. You will step into a role with strong community referrals, a diverse and stimulating caseload ranging from trauma and critical care to surgical and medical emergencies, and the ability to work with advanced diagnostics and a highly skilled support team. As our hospital continues to grow, you will play a key role in shaping clinical standards, helping expand specialty services, and contributing to the development of a regional ER & Specialty center designed by and for experienced emergency clinicians.

Modern Emergency Facility & Growth Vision: Work in a brand-new 5,500 sq ft emergency hospital with 4 exam rooms, serving as the primary ER referral center for surrounding clinics and evolving into a future 24/7 ER & Specialty practice with weekly board-certified surgery, ophthalmology services, and plans for cardiology and additional specialties.

Advanced Diagnostics & Surgical Support: Practice high-quality emergency medicine with digital radiography, GE ultrasound, in-house IDEXX lab (CBC, Chem, blood gas analyzer), AI cytology (Imagyst with pathologist submission), plasma and rattlesnake antivenom, plus fully equipped surgery with electrocautery and vessel sealing devices for emergency and abdominal procedures.

Strong Team & Efficient Workflow: Supported by a skilled technical team with a 3โ€“4:1 staff-to-DVM ratio, Cornerstone practice management software, and a paper-lite system, allowing you to focus on patient care in a walk-in emergency model with the time needed for thorough diagnostics and treatment.

Flexible ER Schedule & Case Variety: Open to full-time or part-time veterinarians for 12โ€“14 shifts per month, typically 12-hour shifts with required weekend coverage, handling a diverse and exciting caseload ranging from trauma and blocked cats to complex medical and surgical emergencies from clients traveling up to an hour for care.
