JOB LOCATION: Wilkes-Barre General Hospital - CVICU - Day Shift (Part Time)


POSITION PURPOSE

The Critical Care Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse consistently performs his/her duties demonstrating an understanding of the essential job functions as reflected in the Critical Care Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse job description, department and hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines. Provide direct professional nursing care for assigned patients while maintaining a safe patient care environment. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Promote the health and well-being of the patient and significant others through the care continuum utilizing the nursing process.

The Graduate Nurse will work providing patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times. The Graduate Nurse will not assume charge responsibilities.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

Managerial skills, clinical expertise, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgment; ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations.
