Job description

Then, Miller-Keystone Blood Center may be the right fit for you!

At MKBC, we save lives every day by providing blood products to hospitals in PA and NJ. The part-time Blood Product Courier position in Reading supports the MKBC Reading location by facilitating successful blood deliveries to our hospital partners. The anticipated hourly wage starts at $15/hr and is commensurate with experience. In addition, Miller-Keystone offers the following to all part-time employees:

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver and pick up blood products from our blood centers and blood drives to our processing center.
  • Deliver supplies to blood drives and fixed sites.

What you will bring to the role:

  • High school diploma or GED required and delivery or prior courier experience preferred.
  • Experience in Outlook (preferred)
  • The ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and listening) to engage with donors and employees of all backgrounds.
  • Strong work ethic including attendance, trust, flexibility, and reliability.
  • A passion to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities to meet the needs of the blood center.

Additional information:

This position reports directly to the Collections Logistics Supervisor in the Mobile Recruitment Department and will be located at our Reading center. To best meet the needs of our donors and community, this position works a variable schedule which may include:

  • Part-time schedule coverage and starts times vary depending on blood drives and the needs of the team (approximately 15-25 hours per week)
  • A valid driving license and clear driving record are required.
