Job Overview
The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Cincinnati (UC) invites you to apply for the position of Term-Adjunct (part-time) faculty positions. Rank and compensation are based on experience and academic credentials.
BME is looking for qualified professionals and educators to be included in the general pool of candidates for Term Adjunct Instructor positions as needed. Courses are taught at all levels from undergraduate to graduate (master's and doctoral).
The Department of Biomedical Engineering offers accredited undergraduate and graduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering. The department has state of the art research centers and laboratories. The student enrollment is approximately 340 undergraduate and 40 graduate students.
Essential Functions
- Teach or co-teach BME courses, assigned on a semester-by-semester basis.
- Coordinate with other Biomedical Engineering faculty members for alignment of coursework with the overall BME curriculum.
- Meet with students as needed, through office hours or other specified availability.
- Submit grades for all students enrolled in courses.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified candidates must have:
- Obtained a Master's or PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- Research and teaching experience in Biomedical Engineering or related fields.
Required Experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.
- Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
