Position Highlights
The University of Arizona's department of Chemistry & Biochemistry invites you to apply to the role of Instructional Designer II. The purpose of this position is to refresh the online general chemistry courses, CHEM 141 and 142. These are fully online classes and all lecture content is delivered through pre-recorded lecture videos. The lectures need to be updated and recorded and content refreshed to maintain the high quality standard of these courses.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is a university-wide unit with staff and faculty across both the College of Science and the College of Medicine. Our world-class research addresses critical topics in the chemical and biochemical sciences through the integration of multiple disciplines, including energy science and engineering, materials science and engineering, optical science, physics, computational science, biochemistry, chemical biology, biomedical engineering, drug discovery, structural biology, and molecular and cellular biology. Our vision is to be a world leader in the chemical and biochemical sciences through cutting-edge education, research, and community impact that enhance our understanding of the world and improve quality of life. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work with Arizona Online and UCATT staff to create updated videos for the general chemistry I (CHEM 141) and general chemistry II (CHEM142) lecture courses.
  • Update lecture slides as needed.
  • Update related online course content such as assessment tools andsupplemental information to assist future students in accessing and understanding the course topics and principles.
