Job description

Part-Time Dentist – Charlottesville, VA

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Schedule: 2 visits per month (biweekly, weekdays)

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

About the Opportunity

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Dentist (DDS/DMD) to provide care in a structured, outpatient clinic-based environment in Charlottesville, Virginia.

You'll function as an extension of the clinical team within a coordinated, community-focused setting serving senior and underserved patient populations.

This opportunity is ideal for a dentist seeking meaningful, mission-driven work with a consistent biweekly schedule—without the overhead or administrative burden of operating a private practice.

The Setting

This opportunity operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model.

  • Dedicated dental treatment space
  • Dental assistant support provided
  • Clinic staff on-site full time
  • Organized scheduling and patient flow
  • Coordinated, team-based care environment
  • Value-based model focused on senior populations

We manage equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics, allowing you to focus entirely on delivering high-quality dental care.

What You'll Do
  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations and oral health assessments
  • Diagnose and treat common dental conditions within your scope of practice
  • Develop appropriate treatment plans and recommendations
  • Perform routine general dentistry procedures
  • Document treatment accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborate with dental assistants and clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting
What Makes This Different

Our dentists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent Comprehensive Mobile Care directly within each partner location.

We emphasize:

  • Quality over volume
  • Consistency and predictability
  • Dental assistant and administrative support
  • Long-term clinic partnerships
  • Ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery
  • Dignified care for senior and underserved patients
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited program
  • Active Virginia dental license
  • Current professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain coverage
  • Experience treating senior populations preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
  • Comfortable practicing in an outpatient clinic environment
Schedule
  • 2 visits per month on a biweekly basis
  • Weekday availability
  • Typical hours: approximately 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • No nights
  • No weekends
  • No billing or administrative responsibilities
