The Willows Events & Catering is seeking an experienced, hospitality-minded Banquet Captain to help lead event execution for weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations. This role is ideal for hospitality or service industry professionals looking for a flexible part-time opportunity while continuing to utilize their leadership, service, and event coordination experience.
About the Role
As a Banquet Captain, you will take ownership of assigned events from setup to breakdown, helping lead the banquet team while ensuring guests, vendors, and hosts experience excellence throughout the event. You'll serve as a point person during events - creating structure, solving problems calmly, and helping the team execute at a high level.

Core Responsibilities
Event Leadership
  • Lead assigned events from setup through breakdown
  • Coordinate banquet team responsibilities and delegate tasks clearly
  • Ensure timelines, room flips, and service expectations are executed smoothly
  • Serve as a communication point between event staff, vendors, and hosts

Guest Experience
  • Create a welcoming, professional, and attentive environment for guests
  • Proactively address guest or event needs during service

Team Coordination
  • Support and guide banquet team members during events
  • Help train and onboard new event staff as needed

Operational Support
  • Assist with setup, food service, beverage service, and event teardown
  • Help maintain organization of event supplies, storage areas, and equipment
  • Support event preparation and closing responsibilities as assigned
