Job description

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents. 


The Beer Server is responsible for the service of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing fast, friendly, and professional service to guests during events. This role requires a personable and professional individual who can thrive in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include serving beverages, verifying guest identification, handling transactions, maintaining a clean and organized service area, and ensuring responsible alcohol service at all times. The Beer Server plays a key role in creating a positive guest experience while maintaining excellent attendance and being available to work scheduled events based on business needs.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $16.90-$17.90 and is tip eligible. 

This is a seasonal role from June 25, 2026 and will end on September 30, 2026.

This position will remain open until August 28, 2026.


The OC Fair & Event Center is a year-round event venue located in Costa Mesa, California. It is best known as the home of the annual OC Fair, but the property also hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, trade shows, festivals, sporting events, community events, conventions, and private gatherings. The OC Fair & Event Center serves as a major entertainment and community hub for Orange County, offering indoor and outdoor event spaces, exhibit halls, arenas, meeting rooms, and entertainment venues. The property features attractions such as the Pacific Amphitheatre, equestrian facilities, and event grounds that accommodate large-scale public events and corporate functions.


  • Serve canned, bottled, and draft beer selections in a timely and professional manner.
  • Pour and serve beverages responsibly in accordance with company serving standards and portion guidelines.
  • Meet company standards of excellence in guest service, teamwork, and uniform appearance.
  • Follow all stand pre-shift instructions, menus, and service guidelines as assigned.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with all company policies and applicable state and federal alcohol service regulations.
  • Verify guest identification in compliance with state and federal regulations to confirm legal drinking age requirements.
  • Communicate and enforce alcohol service cut-offs when necessary.
  • Beer servers are expected to assist in de-escalating situations involving intoxicated guests. If a guest becomes confrontational, disruptive, or uses excessive profanity, management or security should be contacted immediately.
  • Monitor guest behavior and report any concerns.
  • Request additional product inventory and restock supplies as needed to maintain efficient service.
  • Accurately process guest transactions through the point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation at all times.
  • Ensure all beer stands equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and maintained.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including stand setup and breakdown, stocking supplies, and organizing cooler inventory.

  • Must have a valid RBS Alcohol Certification as required by California State Law.
  • Must have a valid California Food Handler Certificate as required by State Law.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by reporting to work in clean, neat attire and following company standards for grooming and personal hygiene.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must maintain excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
