This role is ideal for those seeking work-life balance or additional experience in applied behavior analysis.

As a Part Time BCBA, your core responsibilities often include conducting functional behavior assessments, designing and supervising the implementation of intervention plans, providing training to caregivers or staff, and monitoring client progress through data analysis. You may work in a variety of settings, such as clinics, schools, homes, or community centers, depending on the needs of your clients and the organization’s service model. Collaboration with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), teachers, and family members is a central part of the job, ensuring interventions are consistent and effective. Many part-time roles offer flexible schedules, which can be ideal for balancing other professional or personal commitments.

Familiarity with data collection systems, clinical documentation software, and assessment tools such as the VB-MAPP and ABLLS-R is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and support staff are highly valued. These competencies are crucial for delivering effective, individualized behavioral support and driving positive outcomes for clients in various settings.

Can you work remotely as a part time BCBA?

Part-time BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) positions can sometimes be performed remotely, especially for tasks like data analysis, program development, and supervision of clients via telehealth platforms.
