Position Summary:
As an i9 Sports Baseball Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the baseball programs within the i9 Sports organization. Your primary role will be to ensure the smooth execution of baseball leagues, clinics, camps, and other related activities. You will work closely with participants, parents, coaches, and other staff members to create a positive and enjoyable sports experience for all involved. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate sports enthusiast with strong organizational and communication skills to make a meaningful impact on the youth sports community.This is a part-time, seasonal position, typically held on weekends or evenings.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee officials to ensure fair play, safety and sportsmanship among participants
  • Look for training opportunities with officials to ensure proper knowledge of rules
  • Oversee volunteer coaches and help facilitate practice times
  • Ensure proper implementation and execution of practice plans by coaches
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging environment for players, coaches, and spectators.
  • Interact with participants and provide guidance on rules and game strategies when needed.
  • Monitor player behavior and address any instances of unsportsmanlike conduct or rule violations.
  • Communicate with i9 Sports staff, coaches, and parents regarding game schedules, changes, and other important information.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings to stay updated on i9 Sports policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.

Qualifications:
  • Passion for youth sports and a solid understanding of baseball rules and strategies.
  • Prior experience as a baseball player, coach, or official is preferred.
  • Experience with leadership/management is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with players, coaches, and parents.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to commit to a consistent schedule.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to complete required background checks and certifications as per i9 Sports guidelines.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
  • Moderate physical stamina to keep up with the pace of the game.
  • Clear and audible verbal communication.
