Classification Title:

Adjunct - Healthcare Services Management Instructor (Pool)

Department:

Healthcare Services Management

Physical Demands: 

Able to traverse campus, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, bending, vision, hearing, and talking.

Job Summary/Basic Function:

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.

Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.

Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Reports to the Dean of Business, Technology, and Online Program
  • Teaches Healthcare Management classes in the Bachelors of Applied Technology program using traditional and alternative delivery methods
  • *CCPI

College benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Health Management, Public Health, or Health Education from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated ability in working with culturally diverse populations
  • Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution
  • Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree desirable
  • Employment experience in healthcare administration
  • Evidence of successful teaching experience with non-traditional students
  • Experience developing and delivering online courses
