Job description

THE POSITION The Business Analyst 1 position with the Department of Transportation offers a chance to begin a rewarding career in system analysis and support. You will work with both technical and business staff to help maintain applications that serve millions of customers. This role encourages problem solving, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Your contributions help ensure smooth and dependable operations for Driver and Vehicle Services. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position focuses on analytical work that supports the integrity and functionality of Driver and Vehicle Services systems. You will help evaluate system needs, document changes, and support updates that improve operations.

As a Business Analyst 1, you will perform the following duties: System Analysis: Perform analytical work related to the development and operability of licensing and vehicle systems Process Documentation: Record process changes, prepare business requirements, and lead business meetings Testing Support: Create testing plans, review results, and report discrepancies for system enhancements and projects Problem Research: Investigate reported issues, document findings, and track entries through completion Communication Tasks: Coordinate with internal staff, vendors, and partners to support system updates and operations User Assistance: Provide guidance to business staff and support workflow development for system changes Interested in learning more. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Must be available to work off-hours, including weekends. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
