JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Energy Institute in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking Part-Time Research Support.
Job duties include and are not limited to:
  • Help in designing, ordering, and assembling components for a three-staged chemical precipitation process.
  • Help operate and maintain pilot plant equipment to conduct experimental runs and develop new technologies while adhering to safety procedures and accurately documenting data
  • Help design and develop highly detailed 3D models of industrial piping systems, plant layouts, and process flow diagrams using software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Creo, or equivalent.
  • Conduct laboratory research to improve chemical processes and unit operations.
  • Conduct CFD simulations to model and analyze the behavior of particles moving through continuous reactors, including flow distribution, mixing, and reaction dynamics.
