Part-Time Assistant Teacher – Afternoon Shift
The Learning Experience – East Brunswick, NJ
Pay: $17–$18 per hour
 Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM–6:30 PM
The Learning Experience – East Brunswick is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon and closing hours.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with children and is looking for a consistent weekday afternoon schedule. You’ll provide support across classrooms as needed, help maintain appropriate ratios, and create a positive end to the school day for children and families.
What You’ll Do
  •  Provide classroom and teacher break coverage as needed 
  •  Support Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms 
  •  Engage children through play, art, music, sensory activities, and outdoor experiences 
  •  Assist with afternoon snacks, diapering/toileting, transitions, and daily routines 
  •  Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance 
  •  Support family pick-up and end-of-day classroom routines 
  •  Help maintain clean, safe, and organized classrooms 
  •  Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers and center leadership 
  •  Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements 
What We’re Looking For
  •  High School Diploma or GED required 
  •  Previous experience working with children preferred 
  •  Daycare, preschool, childcare, camp, or early childhood experience is a plus 
  •  Comfortable supporting different classrooms and age groups 
  •  Reliable and consistently available Monday–Friday from 2:30 PM–6:30 PM 
  •  Patient, energetic, flexible, and team-oriented 
  •  Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
