Part-Time Assistant Teacher – Childcare Center
Discovery Point Hamilton Mill is looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our team.
Position: Part-Time Assistant Teacher
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Part-Time
Location: Discovery Point Hamilton Mill
2380 Hamilton Mill Pkwy, Dacula, GA 30019
Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
  • Supervise children and maintain a safe, positive classroom environment
  • Engage with children through play, conversation, songs, reading, and age-appropriate activities
  • Assist with meals, snacks, diapering/toileting, and other daily care routines as needed
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom
  • Follow classroom schedules and center policies
  • Communicate professionally with teachers, management, children, and families
  • Assist with transitions, playground time, and other classroom duties
  • Complete required cleaning and closing responsibilities
  • Follow all Georgia childcare licensing and center health and safety requirements
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Previous childcare or daycare experience is preferred
  • Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work consistently during the scheduled hours
  • Must enjoy working with young children and be comfortable actively interacting with them throughout the day
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and follow directions
  • Must be willing to complete required background checks and childcare training
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
