Summary of Position:
Responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of planning, managing and developing a successful intercollegiate sports program in accordance with standards and goals set by William Peace University. This is a temporary part-time position with the general schedule including traditional and non-traditional seasons. Recruiting efforts will be determined by Head Coach with approval by the Director of Athletics.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
โ€ข Assist with practice plans, have knowledge of athletic conditioning and team physical training.
โ€ข Must become proficient with Front Rush recruiting software
โ€ข Must know and adhere to all NCAA and University regulations that relate to daily program management and operation of designated sport.
โ€ข Assist with team and individual performance as well as develop and implement strategies for motivating student-athletes to perform at maximum levels as both individuals and a team.
โ€ข Assist with the selection, purchase, fitting and maintenance of team equipment including uniforms and supplies.
โ€ข Ensure the safety of student-athletes and staff through careful monitoring of the condition of equipment and facilities utilized by designated sport.
โ€ข Assist with preparing game plans based on scouting reports and team evaluation.
โ€ข Assist with game management of home athletic events, as requested.
โ€ข Attend Athletic Department staff meetings, as requested.
โ€ข Assist with approved fundraising activities, as requested.
โ€ข Participate in clinics, exhibitions and camps, as approved.
โ€ข Assist with recruiting as requested by the Head Coach and with approval of the Director of Athletics. Must know and adhere to all applicable NCAA and University regulations that relate to recruiting.
โ€ข Effectively work with a diverse population of students, employees, visitors, and guests.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree
โ€ข Coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level and/or playing experience at the collegiate level
