Line Cook – Kaluz Restaurant

Part-Time or Full-Time | $20.00–$22.00 per hour

At Kaluz, every plate reflects consistency, quality, and attention to detail. Our Line Cooks play an essential role in creating the dining experience by preparing each dish according to established recipes, presentation standards, and food-safety requirements.

This role is ideal for dependable culinary professionals who work well under pressure, take pride in organization and execution, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Line Cook, you will:

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes, specifications, portions, and presentation standards.
  • Set up and stock assigned stations with the ingredients, tools, and supplies needed for service.
  • Review preparation levels and communicate product or supply needs before and during service.
  • Follow tickets accurately and coordinate timing with other kitchen stations to support efficient service.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, flavor, temperature, portioning, and presentation.
  • Assist with ingredient preparation, including washing, cutting, chopping, portioning, labeling, and storing products.
  • Follow proper food-storage, labeling, dating, cooling, reheating, and rotation procedures.
  • Follow first-in, first-out inventory practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift.
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment, knives, ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, and other tools required for the position.
  • Follow all food-safety, sanitation, allergen-awareness, and workplace-safety procedures.
  • Minimize food waste and support cost-control efforts through proper preparation, handling, and portioning.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, Dishwashers, Expediters, Chefs, and Managers.
  • Notify Management promptly of product shortages, quality concerns, food-safety issues, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Assist with cleaning, restocking, breakdown, and closing responsibilities.
  • Support other kitchen stations and team members when business needs require.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
