Part time armed ship security officers are professionals hired to protect vessels, crew, and cargo from threats such as piracy, theft, or terrorism while working on a flexible or as-needed schedule. They are trained in the use of firearms and maritime security protocols, and their duties often include monitoring for suspicious activities, conducting security checks, and responding to emergencies. These officers may work for shipping companies, private security firms, or government agencies, and must comply with international maritime regulations. Part time roles offer flexibility but still require specialized training and certifications.
