Job description

Trump Winery is looking for friendly, energetic, and guest-focused individuals to join our team as Seasonal Orchard Attendants for the fall apple-picking season. This is a great opportunity for candidates 16 and older who enjoy working outdoors, helping guests, and being part of a fun, fast-paced environment.

You’ll help create an enjoyable experience for guests visiting the Trump Winery and Cidery Orchard by welcoming them, answering questions, and keeping things running smoothly throughout the day. This role reports to the Cidery Manager and is seasonal, part-time, and requires availability Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during apple season.

Position Title: Seasonal Orchard Attendant

Location: Trump Winery in Charlottesville, VA - 15 minutes south of Charlottesville city limits

Hours: Seasonal, ends first week of November, Part-Time Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the apple season- daytime shifts between 9:00am- 5:00pm.

Wage: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Welcome guests with a positive, friendly attitude
  • Check in guests using the orchard computer system
  • Sell apple pecks in both whole and half peck quantities; handle cash and/or electronic payment transactions
  • Give clear directions about orchard layout, pick areas, and available amenities
  • Keep the check-in area clean, organized, and inviting
  • Answer questions about the orchard, apple varieties, and seasonal offerings
  • Communicate with management and team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Follow all policies, safety guidelines, and guest service standards
  • Report any concerns, incidents, or operational issues to the Manager
  • Help with other tasks as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Basic computing skills, including familiarity with Google Suite and point-of-sale software
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to handle cash transactions, make change, and process point-of-sale transactions accurately
  • Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Ability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the season
  • Punctuality, dependability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and walking on uneven terrain)
