Job description

Spay/Neuter Surgery Focus | Part-Time to Full-Time | Flexible Schedule
Final Victory Animal Rescue – West Columbia, South Carolina

Final Victory Animal Rescue (FVAR), located in West Columbia, South Carolina, is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven veterinarian to join our team in a part-time to full-time capacity, depending on your preferred schedule.

This position focuses primarily on spay/neuter surgery and medical preparation of rescue animals for adoption and interstate transport, including exams and health certificates. The role offers the opportunity to practice high-impact shelter medicine in a collaborative rescue environment where your work directly saves lives every day.

FVAR is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization currently caring for approximately 250 animals at any given time, housed both in foster homes and at our rescue facility in West Columbia. We operate a lively local adoption program, while also partnering with adopters and like-minded rescue organizations in the Northeast and Canada. Approximately 50% of our animals are adopted locally and 50% are transported to adopters and rescue partners, creating a steady need for surgical care, preventative medicine, and transport health certificates.

This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys surgery, practical shelter medicine, and meaningful work outside of a traditional private practice setting.
