Description
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Instructor will lead environmental education programs for visitors of all ages. The Instructor will assist with animal care, exhibit upkeep, answer visitor questions and phone calls and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:
Experience in outdoor programming, environmental education, teaching, childcare, summer camp or related experience desired.
EDUCATION:
College coursework and/or degree preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS & TRAINING:
Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as good organizational skills required. Ability to work independently and successfully lead Environmental Education programs for groups of all ages is required, in addition to knowledge of the natural world. Valid MI driver's license with good driving record is required.
START DATE & WORK SCHEDULE:
ASAP
Seasonal to year-round. 10-20 hours per week, weekdays, evenings & weekends.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
