Job description

Classification Title:
Adjunct - Healthcare Instructor (Pool)
Department:
Allied Health
Physical Demands:
Able to traverse campus, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, bending, vision, hearing, and talking.
Job Summary/Basic Function:
Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.
Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.
College benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.
Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Reports to the Manager of Allied Health
  • Teaches Allied health related classes using traditional and/or alternative delivery methods

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED/HSE
  • Combination of education, work experience, and special skills
  • Minimum 2 years working as a healthcare professional
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one's value to the institution
  • Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration

Desirable Qualifications:
Current certification/license in a healthcare profession
