What is a part time Amazon full stack developer?

A Part Time Amazon Full Stack Developer is a software developer who works on both front-end and back-end technologies for applications that are either hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or are part of Amazon’s technology ecosystem. They typically work fewer hours than a full-time developer, allowing for flexibility in their schedule, but are still responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications. Their role may include working with AWS services, databases, APIs, and user interfaces, often collaborating remotely with other team members.

How does working part time as an Amazon full stack developer impact team collaboration and project involvement?

As a part-time Amazon Full Stack Developer, you'll typically collaborate with both front-end and back-end teams, often participating in daily standups and sprint planning. While your hours may be fewer than full-time colleagues, clear communication and time management are essential to ensure alignment on project goals and deadlines. You may be assigned to specific modules or features where your expertise is most needed, and you'll often use collaboration tools like Slack, Jira, and GitHub to stay connected. This role offers flexibility but requires proactive engagement to stay in sync with the team and maintain code quality standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time Amazon full stack developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Amazon Full Stack Developer, you need a solid understanding of both front-end and back-end web development, proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java, and relevant experience or a degree in computer science. Familiarity with AWS services, RESTful APIs, databases, and tools like Git is commonly required, along with certifications such as AWS Certified Developer being advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, effective time management, and the ability to collaborate remotely are vital soft skills for this role. These competencies ensure efficient development, maintenance, and deployment of scalable applications within Amazon's fast-paced and distributed work environment.

Technical Recruiter (6-month Contract)

Vancouver, BC • Remote

Prenuvo
Health Care and Social Assistance • 51 - 200 employees

Part-time, Contractor

Job description

About Us

At Prenuvo, we are on a mission to flip the paradigm from reactive "sick-care" to proactive health care. Our award-winning whole body scan is fast (under 1 hour), safe (MRI has no ionizing radiation), and non-invasive (no contrast). Our unique integrated stack of optimized hardware, software, and increasingly AI, coupled with the patient-centric experience across our domestic and global clinics, have allowed us to lead the change against "we caught it too late again".

We're launching a major Product and Technology hiring push, and we need a Senior Technical Recruiter to lead full-cycle execution for a 6-month contract. This is a stand-alone, high-autonomy engagement: you will own a full slate of technical requisitions from day one, working directly in Greenhouse and LinkedIn Recruiter with no onboarding runway.

The right person already knows how to build a sourcing plan for a Staff Backend Engineer, credibly screen a candidate's Python versus Go experience, and tell a hiring manager why a strong React candidate isn't the right fit for a Rust-heavy infrastructure team. If that's you, you'll have real ownership and room to move fast.

This role does not provide visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire and must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa (current or future).

This contract is fully remote for eligible candidates across North America; preference will be given to candidates in Central (CDT) or Pacific (PT) time zones to support team collaboration.

Help reshape the world through proactive healthcare while working with cutting-edge technology and high performing teams with deep expertise - join us to make a difference in people's lives!

What You'll Do

  • Run full-cycle recruiting for 8–12+ concurrent requisitions spanning Engineering (backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure/DevOps, QA), AI/ML, Data, and Product, across seniority levels from mid-level IC through Staff, Principal, and Director, and across multiple markets/geographies.
  • Partner directly with engineering and product leaders to pressure-test role scope, success profiles, and hiring timelines, you bring the market read and the plan, not just the questions.
  • Build and execute sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill and niche technical searches using LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, technical communities, referrals, and Boolean/X-ray search, without waiting on inbound flow.
  • Conduct technical screens that actually assess depth — languages, frameworks, and architecture (e.g., Python, Go, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Swift/Kotlin, cloud infrastructure, ML/AI tooling) so hiring managers only see candidates worth their time.
  • Own the requisition lifecycle in Greenhouse end to end: intake, pipeline hygiene, structured interview kits, scorecards, and reporting, configuring and troubleshooting workflows independently.
  • Design and run structured, consistent interview processes and debriefs that drive fast, confident hiring decisions.
  • Lead offer strategy and negotiation in partnership with the People team.
  • Deliver a polished, high-touch experience for senior and executive-level technical candidates from first outreach through offer.
  • Surface pipeline risk, market realities, and process bottlenecks proactively as this role reports up, it doesn't wait to be asked.

What You'll Bring

  • 6+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with direct, hands-on ownership of Engineering, AI/ML, and Product hiring in high-growth, fast-moving environments.
  • A track record of independently managing 8–12+ concurrent technical requisitions across multiple functions, seniority levels (IC through Director/VP), and geographies.
  • Real technical fluency: you can discuss programming languages, frameworks, and system architecture (e.g., Python, Java, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Swift/Kotlin, cloud infrastructure, AI/ML stacks) well enough to source, screen, and advise hiring managers credibly, not just relay job descriptions.
  • Deep, current hands-on expertise in Greenhouse ATS (requisition setup, pipeline management, scorecards, reporting) and LinkedIn Recruiter (sourcing, InMail strategy, talent pool management) — these are day-one tools, not tools you'll be trained on.
  • Recruiting experience in regulated, technical, or high-compliance industries (healthcare, life sciences, med-tech, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-country/multi-market hiring, with strong knowledge of North American technical talent markets and compensation norms.
  • A proven ability to build and run sourcing strategies for senior and hard-to-fill technical roles from scratch.
  • Sharp stakeholder management, able to earn credibility with engineering leaders quickly and push back on unrealistic scope or timelines when needed.
  • Excellent judgment, organization, and prioritization; comfortable owning your own workload and calendar with minimal oversight.
  • A self-directed, outcomes-first operating style: you diagnose problems, propose solutions, and execute, rather than waiting for detailed direction.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension based on hiring needs.
  • Location: Fully remote, eligible candidates across North America; Central (CDT) or Pacific (PT) time zones preferred.
  • Tools: Greenhouse (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, Slack, Google Workspace.
