Job description

Air General, a third-generation, family-owned, national cargo company, is looking for a full time Warehouse Agent - Ocean Cargo at our Nashville International Airport (BNA).
Warehouse duties include: handling the transfer of cargo to and from our client and their customers, with a strict adherence to safety and security procedures. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities include:
  • Operate a forklift, tug and pallet jack
  • Process customer paperwork and shipping information
  • Load/unload cargo from/to vehicles/trucks
  • Prepare, palletize, and/or breakdown cargo as needed
  • Make sure paperwork related to the cargo is accurate
  • Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo
  • Clean up and sweep warehouse, dispose garbage
  • Maintain safe operation of warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Follow Hazmat and Security Requirements and Regulations
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor/management

Requirements:
  • Warehouse: 1 year.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Candidates must possess some basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and government security background checks, and post offer drug screens.
  • Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, high-noise environment, and meet deadlines.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm
