Cloud Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. On our team of experienced professionals, you’ll use enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their cloud supported capabilities to meet their most challenging missions. We’re looking for someone like you to help support our warfighter.

You’ll closely collaborate with fellow cloud engineers and architects to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. You’ll have the chance to work within a DevOps framework to create and manage zero trust, portable container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our client's cloud development labs, you’ll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our clients’ problems, and you’ll partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, you’ll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.

You Have:  

  • 4+ years of experience architecting on-premises and cloud solutions for intelligence systems with IT infrastructure design and cloud computing  

  • 4+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and debugging cloud solution components for applications and solutions

  • Experience documenting systems in Viso and Cameo

  • Experience drafting policy and guidance for cloud maintenance and sustainment

  • Ability to communicate with end-users and engineers to ensure that new models are in-line with architectural standards

  • TS/SCI clearance  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification

  • AWS Associate level Certification

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience supporting DoW clients

  • Experience transforming legacy weapon systems  

  • Experience with AI enabled and policy controlled workload management and orchestration

  • Knowledge of AF DCGS

  • AWS Cloud DevOps Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
