What is a part time aesthetic?

Part time aesthetics jobs refer to roles within the beauty and skincare industry that are performed on a part-time basis, often by licensed aestheticians or skincare specialists. These professionals provide various treatments such as facials, waxing, skin analysis, and sometimes non-invasive cosmetic procedures. Working part time allows for flexible hours, which can be ideal for those balancing other commitments or pursuing additional education. Part time aestheticians may work in salons, spas, dermatology clinics, or even on a freelance basis. Requirements typically include completing a state-approved cosmetology or aesthetics program and obtaining relevant licensure.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time aesthetician, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Aesthetician, you need a state-approved esthetics license, knowledge of skincare treatments, and a basic understanding of dermatology. Familiarity with skincare technology, such as microdermabrasion machines, laser devices, and various product lines, is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make clients feel comfortable help build trust and client loyalty. These skills ensure effective, safe treatments while fostering positive client relationships crucial for repeat business.

What are some common challenges faced by part-time aesthetics professionals, and how can they be managed?

Part-time aesthetics professionals often face challenges such as managing a flexible but sometimes inconsistent schedule, building a steady client base, and staying updated with the latest techniques and products in the industry. To address these, it's important to maintain strong communication with your employer or clients, invest in ongoing education, and use scheduling tools to maximize productivity. Networking with other professionals and participating in industry events can also help you stay connected and grow your clientele.

Job description

Aesthetic Injector (RN / NP / PA)

4Ever Young in Gilbert, Arizona is a premier destination for aesthetic and wellness treatments. While backed by a nationally recognized brand, our clinic is locally owned and operated—giving you the resources of an industry leader paired with the supportive, close-knit culture of a boutique practice.

We are seeking an experienced provider with a strong injectable foundation to help expand our clinical offerings and elevate patient care. This role begins part-time with an established client base you will inherit and nurture, and there is a clear path to full-time hours as our growth continues.

If you're looking for a supportive environment where education is encouraged, collaboration comes first, and career growth is essential, we'd love to connect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth aesthetic consultations and design comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.
  • Safely and skillfully administer neurotoxins, dermal fillers, biostimulators, PDO threads, and advanced injectables to deliver balanced, natural results.
  • Demonstrate deep product expertise across key portfolios (Allergan, Galderma, Evolus, Merz) and guide patients through loyalty programs (e.g., Allē, Aspire).
  • Educate patients on full-face rejuvenation and the synergy between aesthetic treatments and skin health.
  • Collaborate closely with estheticians, wellness providers, and front-desk staff to deliver an integrated patient journey.
  • Maintain accurate, timely charting and medical documentation in accordance with state compliance standards.
  • Participate in company-sponsored continuing education, peer shadowing, and advanced training.
  Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted state license as a Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on and progressive experience towards advanced aesthetic injecting.
  • Strong track record of patient retention, clinical safety, and complications management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Big Pluses)

  • Certified laser technician.
  • Experience with regenerative therapies (PRP/PRF/PDGF, microneedling, hair restoration).
  • Familiarity with wellness modalities (Peptides, GLP-1s, IV therapy, hormone replacement).
 Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly base pay plus performance-based commission.
  • Hourly pay depends on experience and licensure.
  • Flexible part-time schedule with a clear path to full-time hours.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and sick leave.
  • Profit-sharing retirement plan.
  • Continuing education and product training.
  • Generous employee discounts on all aesthetic and wellness services.
