Job description

This is an open pool posting and applicants will be contacted only if a suitable position becomes available. Pool may be used to fill vacancies for the Fall 2026 - Summer 2027.

This pool expires 05/31/2027. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2027, must reapply at that time.

Position Summary:

Temporary,part-time adjunct faculty in the Department of History. Online teachingopportunities may be available in the Department of History. Candidates must beavailable to teach face-to-face, not remotely.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master'sdegree in history or a Master's Degree with at least 18 credits of graduatehistory course work. Commitment to quality instruction at the college level isessential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoratein history. Past record of successful college-level teaching experience inhistory. For online teaching, one or more semesters' worth of online teachingexperience. Experience using the Canvas platform and with courses that havereceived Quality Matters approval is advantageous.
