Position Title Graduate Research Assistant - MakerSpace GA Posting Number AS1160P Subdivision Dean's Office, CEB Division Col. of Engineering & Business Department Center for Manufacturing and Technology Location Erie, Pa Position Summary
Graduate Assistants will assist the Floor Engineer with the operations of the I-HACK Makerspace and collaboration with CEB Senior Design Projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The position may involve some or all of the following.
1. Ability to conduct experiments accurately and promptly
2. Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory instruments
3. Assist in the setup and use of new lab equipment
4. Prepare experiments, set up and assist faculty with laboratory classes
5. Enter, clean, and analyze data using Excel spreadsheets and applicable statistical programs
6. Understand and practice lab safety protocols
7. Coordinate meetings, manage calendars, and take minutes at meetings
8. Collaborate with undergraduate students on research and class projects
9. Assist in responsibilities regarding Makerspace
10. Performs other duties as assigned within the scope, responsibility, and requirements of the position
