Job Description:

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Air Conditioning Technology Tutor

Principal assignment: Marietta, BCCCA or Canton Campus Locations

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Part-time position available as a Tutor.

Part-time position based on semester system. Under supervision of the Associate Dean of Transportation, Logistics and Building Services and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies, the Tutor will be responsible for assisting students with their course and lab work. Assisting the Air Conditioning Technology department in maintaining the lab set up/take down, ensuring lab safety requirements and any other duties as defined by The Technical College System of Georgia.

NOTE: Lab Tutor positions are part-time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis. Therefore, your employment is limited, and there is no expectation that your association with Chattahoochee Tech will be extended beyond this term.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educational Level: This position requires completion of AIRC 1060 with a B or higher or relevant industry training equal to AUTT 1060.
  • Knowledge and expertise in electrical circuits, refrigeration principles, and HVAC Equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A preference is given to applicants having a Diploma in a related field.
  • Two years industry experience in HVAC field and/or relevant training certifications are preferred.

SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary based on 15.00 per hour with a maximum of 22 hours per week during the semester. There are no State Benefits. Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on "hardship" evidence provided by the employee.
