Job Summary

Job Description Summary

The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine is currently looking for part-time, temporary servers to assist in the WVSOM Student Center and O'Cafe for small to large events as needed. This position is a temporary position with a pay of $25 per hour, up to 37.5 hours per week as needed or requested; no benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Position would deliver, set up, serve, and cleanup catered events.
  • Maintain "on time" delivery schedule for catered events.
  • Prepare and mix ingredients as requested.
  • Maintain food service area and assist the Director and Assistant Director as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage of leftover food items.
  • Maintain a clean sanitary workplace in accordance with county, state, and federal regulations.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as directed.

Required Licenses/Certification

This position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus at least one year of recent and related experience, though a combination of education and experience may be considered. Position also requires the obtainment of a WV food handler's permit.
