Position Summary
The schedule for this role is 2:30p-10:45p Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - Week 2 Monday, Tuesday, Saturday
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct, hands-on care to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role supports residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs while maintaining comfort, safety, and adherence to individualized care plans in a respectful and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, feeding, and mobility
  • Measure and document vital signs and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff
  • Provide emotional support, reassurance, and companionship to residents
  • Promote resident independence while ensuring safety and dignity
  • Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment following infection control and safety guidelines
  • Accurately document care provided in accordance with facility policies and CMS requirements
  • Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
  • Uphold resident rights and comply with state regulations and facility standards
Qualifications
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing (state-required)
  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment preferred
  • Memory care experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
  • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist residents weighing up to 60 pounds
