WEBSTER CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

Position: Physical Therapist - Part Time .4 (2 days per week) (Posting number 2627-3803)
Location: District Wide
Start Date:  August 31, 2026
Requirements: 





  • Must have NYS license as a Physical Therapist
  • Must be on current Monroe County Civil Service Physical Therapist Eligibility List OR
  • Currently hold the Monroe County Civil Service Title of Physical Therapist OR
  • Have work experience that would qualify for the Physical Therapist title OR
  • In the event that there is a "no-list", applicants can be hired provisionally if they complete the following conditions:
  1. Meet the Civil Service qualifications for the position
  2. Take the Civil Service exam, when offered
  3. Are reachable on the Civil Service list


We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Experience working with school-aged children in a school setting


Responsibilities:  

  • Perform physical therapy procedures upon the written prescription or referral from a physician, utilizing an exercise or creative activity treatment program designed and/or adapted to correct or improve functional ability.
  • Evaluates the degree of function and disability of students unless contraindicated by the supervising therapist's professional judgment or a physician's prescription.
  • Develops a treatment plan based upon findings, short and long-term goals and in accordance with a physician's diagnosis, prescription or referral.
  • Maintains program records including, but not limited to, the service budget, statistical reports of the frequency and types of treatment and number of students treated.
  • Participates in research activities and the development of new treatment programs and techniques in conjunction with other staff and physicians.
  • Participates and assists in the development of educational programs and instructs in-service education programs.
