The NEEDS Center is a growing non-profit organization and right now we have 8 openings for Direct Care Specialists who will assist and support adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of Community Living. This is a role where you can truly make a difference in the lives of others. Full-time and Part-time positions available in our residential home in Tewksbury, MA. These positions are primarily either second shift, overnights, and/or weekends. These are entry-level jobs with great potential for career growth–and training is provided. Responsibilities Assisting and supporting individuals in daily routines. Supporting residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking, and cleaning. Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy. Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs. Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans. Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership. Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred (but not necessary). Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary). Good driving record. Ability to work as part of a diverse team. There is a particular emphasis on providing services to individuals with interfering challenging behavior and/or dual diagnosis. The NEEDS Center's philosophy is rooted in the tenets of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Positive Behavior Support (PSB).
