Job description

Description:

Private aviation runs on trust, precision, and split-second judgment. At Elevate Jet, the modern evolution of nearly thirty years of private aviation expertise, we're looking for an executive who can hold all three, at the highest level.

As EVP, Director of Operations, you'll step into executive ownership of our entire Part 135 operation, taking the reins as Director of Operations under FAR Part 119 on an established certificate. You'll carry full P&L responsibility for flight operations across both Elevate Aviation Group and Elevate Jet, and hold a seat on our Senior Leadership Team. The Director of Maintenance, Chief Pilot, and Flight Operations team report to you. You'll be the executive point of contact for the FAA Certificate Holding District Office on all audits, inspections, and certificate matters. And when operational excellence needs to translate into client loyalty and revenue, that's on you too, in partnership with client services and charter sales.

This is an executive command role, and it's a flying role. You'll need to perform as a Part 135 Pilot-in-Command on international operations, not just direct the people who do.

What you'll own:

  • Full regulatory authority and accountability as Director of Operations under FAR Part 119, including the GOM, FAA Ops Specs, and pilot duty/rest compliance
  • P&L and commercial responsibility for the entire Part 135 flight operations business, across both brands
  • Safety culture and risk posture across the certificate, including Part 5 SMS support
  • AOSC duties under the approved TFSSP and PCSSP programs
  • Customer growth and retention outcomes for the flight operations division

You're a fit if you've:

  • Led as a Director of Operations or Chief Pilot at a comparable Part 135 operation for a minimum of 5 years, with real P&L ownership
  • Run flight operations across multiple brands or business units under one certificate
  • Built FAA relationships yourself, through audits, inspections, and certificate matters
  • Driven customer growth and retention in aviation or another premium service environment
  • Carried executive accountability for safety culture, regulatory standing, and financial performance, all at once

You'll need:

  • Valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot license and first-class medical
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business, or related field
  • Valid US driver's license and passport
  • U.S. work authorization (we're unable to sponsor at this time)

Compensation:

  • Base salary up to $255,000 (depending on experience) + 20% target annual bonus + commission eligibility

Travel:

  • Up to 50%
Requirements:
