DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will support the Fire & Security Services department by providing emergency medical services, as well as supporting the security functions for the ArcelorMittal Calvert site.
The Basics:

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate
• Active/valid/current Driver's License
• Current Nationally Registered or State of Alabama EMT-Paramedic certification
• Comfortable with tablet and interactive app use
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
• Must be willing and able to obtain Alabama Professional Standards Fire Fighter I and II certification or equivalent certificates (Ex. Interior Industrial Fire Brigade Member, Advanced Exterior Industrial Fire Brigade Member, or similar certifications) after hire

The Extras:

• Certified as a Technician in the following preferred:
• Hazardous Materials
• High Angle/Rope Rescue
• Confined Space
• Structural Collapse
• Trench Rescue

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Provides emergency services
• Drives and operates emergency response vehicles
• Selects proper firefighting tools and equipment to control and extinguish fires
• Performs search and rescue operations
• Utilizes appropriate safety equipment to mitigate hazardous materials incidents
• Performs extrication operations as needed
• Performs inspections and preventive maintenance on fire suppression systems
• Responsible for delivering training sessions as assigned by the training division/captain
• Perform various security activities throughout the plant
• Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Fire station
• Site wide mill areas
• Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
• Work will be on a schedule of 12 hour shifts - 4 days on/4 days off
