Job description

We are looking for an experienced PI paralegal to join a growing personal injury law firm in Ktown. This role focuses on litigation support and offers the opportunity to take ownership of substantive case work while collaborating closely with attorneys and a senior paralegal. The position begins onsite to support onboarding and team integration, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule after an initial ramp-up period.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a litigation caseload in partnership with assigned attorneys, supporting personal injury matters from early case development through trial preparation.

• Prepare substantive legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses with strong attention to detail and deadlines.

• Review client treatment progress and medical-related case activity to help keep matters moving forward effectively.

• Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates, answering questions, and helping ensure they remain engaged in the legal process.

• Coordinate with internal support staff, including records and calendaring personnel, to keep case files organized and litigation timelines on track.

• Use case management and productivity tools, including CasePeer, Microsoft Office, and Teams, to document activity and manage workflow.

• Assist with trial preparation and other advanced litigation tasks as cases progress toward resolution.

• Work under the guidance of assigned attorneys and the senior paralegal while contributing independently to day-to-day case advancement.

• At least 3 years of civil litigation experience, with a strong preference for a background focused primarily on plaintiff-side personal injury matters.
• Demonstrated ability to draft litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Experience supporting discovery, trial preparation, and ongoing case management in an active litigation environment.
• Strong client communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
• Proficiency with case management software and standard office technology, including Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines and handle multiple matters simultaneously.
