Locum Tenens Gastroenterology NP/PA Opportunity – Panorama City, California

A well-established healthcare system in Panorama City, California is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a background in Gastroenterology for a locum tenens assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for providers looking for consistent weekday hours and a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Duration: 3–6 months (6 months preferred)

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (flexibility available)

  • Setting: Outpatient clinic with morning inpatient rounding

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Perform gastroenterology consults, medication management, and pathology follow-ups

  • Conduct morning inpatient rounding (approximately 2–2.5 hours daily)

  • Provide care in clinic for the remainder of the day

  • Perform paracentesis procedures (approximately 2–3 per day)

  • Collaborate with a team supporting multiple GI physicians

Patient Volume & Support

  • Average 8–10 patients per day in clinic, plus inpatient rounding

  • Supported by experienced RN and LVN staff

  • Coverage role assisting a team of 12 Gastroenterologists
