Job description

Can you turn rolls into perfectly square sheets—every time?

If you thrive in a fast-paced converting environment and love the feeling of a perfectly dialed-in setup, this opportunity is for you. We’re searching for a skilled Paper Sheeting Machine Technician to own roll-to-sheet operations from setup to finished skid.

What you’ll tackle
  • Operate sheeting machinery to meet exact production specifications and deadlines.
  • Sequence jobs based on the daily plan and combine compatible runs for maximum throughput.
  • Inspect incoming rolls for defects before cutting.
  • Set slitters, anvils, belts, and joggers; validate sheet size, squareness, and quality throughout.
  • Use and replenish sheeted inventory strategically.
  • Track raw materials and flag low stock to Purchasing.
  • Perform preventative maintenance; change blades and slitters as needed.
  • Record production and inventory data in company systems; print/apply labels to finished skids.
  • Run forklifts, clamp trucks, stretch wrappers, banders, and scanners safely and efficiently.
  • Cross-train and mentor teammates when needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation.
Do you have what it takes?
  • 3+ years operating industrial paper sheeting equipment in print, converting, or manufacturing.
  • Hands-on knowledge of paper grades, sheeting processes, and production flow.
  • Certified or experienced with forklifts and clamp trucks.
  • Comfort entering data into ERP/manufacturing systems (Solar Soft familiarity is a plus).
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret production orders, work instructions, safety procedures, and manuals.
  • Competent with fractions, decimals, percentages, and measurements.
  • Detail-driven; balances independence with teamwork.
Physical expectations
  • On your feet and moving approximately 75% of the shift.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment safely.
  • Comfortable working near moving machinery.
