Precision Industrial Contractors, Inc. is seeking a certified, experienced Crane Operator for immediate hire.On this project, the operator will be running a Grove 25-ton Carry Deck Crane. The ideal candidate must also be willing to assist with millwright and field duties when not operating the crane.MUST HOLD A CURRENT NCCCO/CCO CRANE OPERATOR CERTIFICATION, HAVE INDUSTRIAL CRANE OPERATING EXPERIENCE, AND BE A LEGAL US RESIDENT TO BE CONSIDEREDMUST BE ABLE TO COMMIT TO THE ENTIRETY OF THE PROJECT
You are a fit if you:

  • Are a certified crane operator with a current NCCCO/CCO certification in good standing
  • Have experience operating carry deck cranes in industrial environments
  • Have a strong understanding of crane safety, load handling, rigging, and standard hand signals
  • Are dependable, safety-focused, and a team player
  • Are willing to assist with millwright and field duties when needed
  • Can adapt to changing job site conditions and schedules
  • Are able to commit to the full duration of the project

Requirements and Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a Grove 25-ton Carry Deck Crane for the duration of the project
  • Maintain current crane operator certification throughout the project
  • Perform daily equipment and safety inspections
  • Follow load charts, lift plans, and established safety procedures
  • Communicate clearly using standard crane hand signals and radio communication
  • Safely lift, move, position, and set equipment and materials
  • Coordinate with riggers, signal persons, millwrights, and field personnel
  • Follow all company, customer, and job site safety requirements
  • Assist with millwright, rigging, and material handling duties when not operating the crane
  • Commit to the entirety of the project schedule

Qualifications, Education, & Experience:
  • Current NCCCO/CCO crane operator certification (required)
  • Previous carry deck crane or similar equipment experience
  • Proficiency with standard crane hand signals and signal person communication
  • Heavy industrial construction experience preferred
  • Pulp and paper mill experience preferred
  • Knowledge of crane load charts, rigging, and safe operating procedures
  • Millwright or mechanical experience preferred
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must complete PIC safety training, TAPPISAFE, and all site-specific training

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely operate crane controls for extended periods
  • Ability to climb in and out of equipment
  • Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend as required
  • Ability to perform physical field duties when not operating the crane
