Walsworth - Fulton, a family-owned business founded in 1937, has grown from printing playbills and cookbooks in Marceline, Missouri to becoming one of the top three yearbook printers and magazine printer in the industry. For over 87 years, we have remained committed to providing exceptional printing services with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

At Walsworth, our team is the heart of our business, and we are currently looking for a 1st Web Press Operator to join our team! As a 1st Web Press Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the M600 Goss Presses. Ensure our safety policies and procedures are met with PPE, ergonomics, chemical hazards, etc. You will also have the ability to set up the press quickly and efficiently, which includes but is not limited to job tickets, plates, paper, and folds. Join us today and play an integral role in producing top-notch printed products for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make ready and operates web offset printing press to print signatures that are to follow specific printing instructions that include, quantity, stock specification, colors, and other special instructions.
  • Inserts packing sheet to plate cylinder to accommodate for plate thickness; installs and locks plates into position, using hand tools, to achieve proper pressure distribution.
  • Measures paper thickness and adjusts blankets and cylinders accordingly.
  • Fills ink and solution fountains, along with adjusting controls to regulate flow of ink and solution to plate cylinder.
  • Starts press and examines copies for ink density, position on paper, and registration. Adjusts the press throughout the run to maintain proper levels for above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years’ experience working on a 4-color heat set web press.
  • 1 year of experience working on Goss M600 presses is preferred.
  • Required to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • May require specific vision abilities that include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in a loud noise level environment.
