Converting Machine Operator

Shifts available:

  • A Shift - 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, Week 1: Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat; Week 2: Sun/Wed/Thu
  • B Shift - 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, Week 2: Sun/Wed/Thu; Week 1: Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat
  • C Shift - 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, Sun/Mon/Tue and every other Wed
  • D Shift - 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, Wed/Thu/Fri and every other Tue

Compensation: $16/hour - $17.50/hour (depends on shift and prior experience)

Required Skills:

    • High School Diploma or GED preferred
    • 18 years of age or older
    • Ability to perform repetitive motions and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. without tools or assistance
    • Ability to manipulate (push, pull, buddy-lift/carry) up to 65 lbs.
    • Ability to effectively read, write, and verbally communicate in English
    • Ability to stand/sit/walk for shift schedule without accommodations
    • Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, divide and multiply to figure footage and linear footage
  • Ability to multitask to safely and effectively keep the machine running while also inspecting and packing product, keeping work area clear of scrap, and completing paperwork
  • Ability to measure and interpret measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16 of an inch

A Converting Machine Operator at Technipaq is responsible for operating converting machines to produce quality products, inspecting product to ensure it meets the customer specifications during the production process, and packs the product according to customer requirements. This involves:

  • Making necessary machine adjustments during product run
  • Changing or assisting in changing rolls of material
  • Visually and physically inspecting product
  • Verifying materials
  • Taking measurements on a standard ruler
  • Recording production data
  • Labeling & weighing cartons of product
  • Submitting in-process sampling in accordance with the customers sampling guidelines
  • Meeting machine run-time, scrap, and quality objectives

Converting Machine Operators report to our Converting Supervisors and interact with all levels of the company in order to make sure customer specifications and quality guidelines are met.

Our manufacturing facilities perform the laminating, slitting, sheeting, die cutting, fabricating, and flexographic printing of pouches, lids and roll stock produced in a variety of sizes from foil, film, Tyvek and paper laminates.
