Job description

Are you ready to take the next step in your print industry career? If you’re dependable, mechanically inclined, and have a strong work ethic, this is the perfect opportunity for you. We’re actively hiring a Die Cutter Operator at our Arlington, TX plant.

Shift: 1st shift 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM / Monday-Friday

Pay: $13.00 – $22.00

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Access IMS program to determine priority jobs and set workload for the day.
  • Determine what size and pattern of die will be used to run the cutting job.
  • Observe the Die Cutting machine while running, to make any adjustments and ensure a smooth and accurate cut is done on the pattern.
  • Inspect the die cut job to ensure accuracy and quality before packing in designated box.
  • Record production and operational data using IMS system, such as entering completed jobs.
  • Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately.
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and are free of any safety hazards.
  • Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
  • Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned

Qualification:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in paper print using production machinery (Heidelberg Cylinder and Windmill Die Cutter machines preferred).
  • At least 6 months’ packing experience.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members.
  • Ability to safely use hand/power tools.
  • Ability to multi-task with changing priorities.
  • Ability to recognize safety issues and corrective actions.
