Job Summary
The Finished Goods Loader is responsible for placing finished cases, bags, or totes of product onto pallets in the arrangement approved by the customer. The Finished Goods Loader verifies that the proper labeling and code dating has been applied to all product packaging, as specified by the customer. This position is fast paced and requires basic math and reasoning skills.
Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday + Overtime/Weekends
1st Shift: 6:00AM to 2:00PM
2nd Shift: 2:00PM to 10:00PM
3rd Shift: 10:00PM to 6:00AM
Panama Shift Pattern (2-2-3)
A/B Crew: 6:00AM to 6:00PM
C/D Crew: 6:00PM to 6:00AM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsibility includes completion of pre-op inspection of area. Set up and assemble packaging line.
• Responsibility includes documentation and record keeping for area.
• Follow loading process to efficiently load product into freezer, verifies case count and fills out pallet count sheet.
• Assist in developing loading standard process.
• Follow "PULL" loading system.
• Maintain product exit temperature per Food Safety Program.
• Control the basic spiral freezer operation.
• Monitor and control product waste.
• Must be on floor 100%.
• Must follow all GMP'S (Good Manufacturing Practices), OSHA, HACCP, and Company procedures and safety rules.
• Quickly identifies any possible hazards to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Receives and checks case labels.
• Sets up and operates case printer.
• Sets up case sealer.
• Verifies pallet type and pallet pattern.
• Verifies if sheet instructions, case labels and product are correct.
• Applies pallet tags.
• Responsible for ensuring that "hold" tags are correct and in place.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet be flexible and have ability to work in a team environment.

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma/GED; or three months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Mathematical Skills
Must have basic math skills for packaging forms, HACCP compliance forms and any other forms deemed necessary by the production supervisor.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
The employee is required to stand while performing job. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, twist and bend.
The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds and move/transfer up to 280 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat and cold.
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme heat; and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ear protection to be worn when needed.
