About the Company


Palmer Hamilton, LLC, a leader in innovative design and manufacturing solutions for educational and commercial environments, is seeking a highly analytical, process-driven Enterprise Applications Manager to lead optimization, integration, and continuous improvement of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment and related business systems.



About the Role


This role serves as the functional lead for ERP and CRM systems supporting manufacturing, customer service, finance, and business intelligence. The Enterprise Applications Manager will work cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership to ensure system alignment with operational workflows, financial reporting, and strategic business objectives. This position will also play a critical leadership role in advancing Palmer Hamilton’s artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives, supporting data-driven decision-making, and improving operational efficiency through automation, reporting, and system innovation. The ideal candidate possesses strong financial acumen, project management capability, and a deep understanding of manufacturing ERP systems in a made-to-order environment.



Responsibilities


CRM & ERP Systems Leadership & Optimization

  • Serve as the functional owner and subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring optimal configuration and utilization.
  • Serve as the functional owner and subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics Customer Experience, ensuring optimal configuration and utilization.
  • Serve as the functional owner and subject matter expert for Experlogix responsible for creating the product from quote to order.
  • Lead continuous improvement both CRM and ERP workflows related to customer service, manufacturing, finance, inventory, and production planning.
  • Manage ERP configuration changes, enhancements, independent software vendors, and system upgrades in coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Reduce manual processes, spreadsheet reliance, and system inefficiencies through automation and system optimization.
  • Ensure system integrity, data accuracy, and alignment with operational and financial processes.


Manufacturing & Operations Support

  • Collaborate to improve MRP/MPS performance and demand planning process.
  • Optimize production order workflows, and shop floor data visibility.
  • Support inventory processes and tracking to ensure accuracy.
  • Improve operational efficiency through process standardization and ERP-driven workflows.
  • Partner with production leadership to align ERP systems with manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.


Financial Systems Alignment & Financial Acumen

  • Ensure ERP alignment with financial reporting requirements, including GAAP compliance and internal controls.
  • Support product costing accuracy, margin analysis, and profitability reporting by product line, job, and customer.
  • Strengthen financial visibility through improved reporting, system alignment, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance leadership to support strategic financial decision-making.


Reporting, Business Intelligence & KPI Development

  • Oversight of reporting frameworks and business intelligence tools, including Power BI.
  • Maintain and oversee development of operational dashboards and executive-level reporting tools.
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership through data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of reporting across systems.


Artificial Intelligence (AI) Leadership & Innovation

  • Lead Palmer Hamilton’s AI initiatives, identifying opportunities to leverage AI for operational efficiency, automation, reporting, and decision support.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement AI-enabled tools and solutions that align with business strategy.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute a roadmap for AI integration across business systems and workflows.
  • Ensure responsible and effective adoption of AI technologies within ERP, reporting, and operational processes.


Process Improvement & Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional system and process improvement initiatives across departments.
  • Apply structured project management methodologies to ERP implementations, changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Document system processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement scalable, sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure system changes are properly tested, documented, and communicated.




Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of ERP functional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or related systems.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Customer Experience, or related enterprise systems.
  • Strong background in discrete manufacturing environments, preferably made-to-order manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including understanding of costing, margin analysis, and GAAP principles.
  • Hand-on experience with Power BI for business intelligence and analytics.
  • Strong process orientation with proven experience leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and experience managing cross-functional system projects.
  • Experience with AI tools, automation technologies, or data analytics platforms, with direct system integrations preferred.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and production planning systems.
  • Experience leading system implementations, upgrades, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting financial system alignment and reporting improvements.
