Description
The Warehouse Associate will receive merchandise and fulfill customer orders in a safe and timely manner in the warehouse.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Handle boxes, containers, packages of various weights and sizes.
2.Loads and unloads materials into or from vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
3.Inspects inbound merchandise.
4.Utilize RF scanners during product receiving, check-in, put away and picking.
5.Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color or product code.
6.Properly package and label outbound common carrier shipments.
7.Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
8.Marks materials with identifying information.
9.Maintain merchandise resale value and quality by protecting it from damage.
10.Stage merchandise for truck deliveries.
11.Accurately and efficiently locate, verify, pull and pick products and materials for orders, delivery and transfer utilizing RF scanners.
12.Maintain warehouse and work areas in clean, orderly and safe condition.
13.Participate in taking inventory counts according to guidelines.
14.Properly and safely operate (powered industrial) equipment according to safety guidelines
15.Ensure company vehicles are in proper working order by reporting mechanical and operational issues.
16.Proper completion of regulatory and administrative forms and reports relating to vehicle operation.
17.Report damaged/missing product to supervisor or Branch Manager.
18.Provide whatever customer assistance is appropriate under the circumstances and according to company policies.
19.All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficient in 2 or more areas of the warehouse and forklift certified. Candidate must be organized, detail orientated and accurate and work as part of a team. Must have the ability to become certified in operating a forklift.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs repetitively for 8 hours
• May be required to stand for long periods of time.
• May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and pushing and pulling of merchandise, products and materials.
• Consistently follows procedures and adheres to standards
• Must be able to understand and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form and follow directions.
• Must be able to communicate
• Ability to understand product codes and terminology
• Ability to use hand tools to open boxes or containers
• Operate RF scanner
• Operate a pallet jack
• Operate a forklift
• Ability to meet the attendance standards
Working Conditions:
Due to the open warehouse environment, must be able to work in various indoor climatic conditions including heat, humidity and cold. Maneuvers in small areas and/or around various objects
