We're looking for a motivated, reliable Painter Apprentice ready to learn a skilled trade from the best in the business. This is a hands-on, entry-level opportunity to train alongside experienced journeypersons in industrial and commercial painting, with a strong focus on safety, craftsmanship, and union values. Through a structured apprenticeship, you'll earn a paycheck while you learn the skills that lead to a long-term, high-paying career.

What You'll Do

Our work centers on high-performance floor coating systems for industrial and commercial facilities, so a large part of your training will focus on surface preparation and coating application done right. You'll also support general industrial and commercial painting as needed.

  • Prepare concrete and other substrates for coating, including grinding, shot blasting, crack and joint repair, and moisture testing.
  • Mix and apply epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurethane, and urethane cement floor systems, along with primers, basecoats, and topcoats.
  • Broadcast and manage decorative or anti-slip media (quartz, flake, aggregate) and apply sealers and clear coats.
  • Apply protective coatings and finishes to walls, metal, concrete, and wood using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Set up and break down containment, scaffolding, and ladders, and keep tools and equipment clean and ready.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work site in line with OSHA and union safety standards.
  • Learn to read blueprints and product specifications, and use trade tools and materials properly.

Attend required classroom instruction through the local painters union.
