About the role:
The Painter II is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and enhancing painted and wall-covered surfaces throughout the resort. This role performs painting, wallpaper installation, surface preparation, and finish repairs while ensuring all work is completed to luxury hospitality standards. This position is part of the Engineering team and reports to Engineering Leadership.
What you will do:
  • Apply paint using rollers, brushes, and spray equipment on walls, ceilings, furniture, fixtures, millwork, and other resort surfaces

  • Install, repair, remove, and replace wallpaper throughout the property

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by patching, sanding, taping, drywall repair, and finishing

  • Perform touch-up painting and repairs in guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants, and back-of-house areas

  • Maintain the appearance and condition of resort furnishings and finishes

  • Complete assigned projects efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards

  • Maintain painting equipment, brushes, rollers, ladders, and tools in proper working condition

  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe throughout all projects

  • Follow all safety procedures when working with tools, ladders, paints, chemicals, and equipment

  • Respond appropriately to emergency maintenance or safety situations

  • Work collaboratively with Engineering and other departments to support resort operations

  • Report accidents, safety concerns, and equipment issues promptly

What you bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience

  • Previous painting, drywall, wallpaper, or facilities maintenance experience preferred

  • Prior training or experience in commercial or hospitality painting is an asset

  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, wall preparation, and finishing methods

  • Ability to safely operate painting tools and equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

  • Professional demeanor with excellent teamwork skills
