Overview:

Southern Pride Custom Cabinets is an experienced high-end commercial architectural millwork company. We are seeking entry or junior level Cabinet Makers - Woodworkers who are hard-working and eager to learn and grow with a good job opportunity in our cabinet shop in Madison, AL. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team environment where cross training is encouraged and desired
  • Job entails operation of woodworking, finishing machinery, various lacquer /paint products and commitment to following safe operation practices
  • Applicant must have some familiarity with tools or are eager to learn to use power saws, routers, power drills, sanders, finish spraying equipment, and other tools used in woodworking and cabinetry making
  • Performs other duties as assigned and related to position and team goals


Requirements:

  • Must be able or willing to learn to read prints and shop drawings
  • Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to take on tasks and finish them
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and accuracy in all work with the ability to produce good quality work
  • Experience in woodworking and/or cabinet building is a plus
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend and work on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Must take pride in work
  • Must be dependable and able to be at work on days scheduled and on time
  • Must have a good work ethic and a can-do positive attitude

Full time position

Pay is commensurate with experience

Hours vary based on season/demand - typically Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm
