**Work Schedule: **

First Shift Mon-Fri 6am-230pm

Second Shift Mon-Thurs 230pm-1am

Job description:

The Painter will use wet spraying technique for paint and primer on steel product as required by the customer.Must haveprevious painting experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Prepare parts for coating

· Follow all principles and practices of wet spray application, including review of specifications, color codes, mixing charts and verbal and written instructions

· Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systems

· Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects

· Determine paint flow and coating quality by performing visual inspections

· Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance

· Ensure that safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment

· Load or unload parts or product onto fixtures as needed

· Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment

· Proper use, storage and disposal of paint supplies and waste

Qualifications and Experience

· Good knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipment

· To perform this job an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

· Strong background in industrial painting

· Strong attention to detail

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Demonstrate ability to work independently without daily supervision

· Maintains a safe and clean work area

Working Conditions / Environment

This job operates in a manufacturing environment.

This role routinely uses paint equipment.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to loud noise, fumes and airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; may work with or around chemicals that create a hazardous exposure which is defined on the accessible Safety Data Sheets; employee is exposed to extreme temperature changes over an eight-hour shift.
